What Konkyo is
A research library whose agents answer only from your sources, and prove every quote.
Konkyo (根拠, "grounds" or "evidence") reads your papers, lecture recordings, slides and notes. Ask it a question and a team of agents finds the passages that answer it, writes an answer where every sentence cites a passage, checks every quote word for word against the source, and sends back anything it can't support. When your sources disagree, it shows you where.
Why it checks
Citations make an answer look trustworthy whether or not anyone opens them: in one study, only 23 of 319 knowledge workers checked the sources an AI gave them (Lee et al., CHI 2025). So Konkyo opens every citation for you before you see the answer, and one click on a citation opens the source at the passage, highlighted.
What you can do with it
- Ask across your whole library, a folder, or chosen files. Answers carry their receipt: the steps, the passages, and the SQL that checked the quotes.
- Compare sources: the agree/disagree matrix lines up claims against sources.
- Find sources when your library runs out: deep search reads open-access papers and web pages.
- Study: quizzes and games from your own material, with answer keys checked against their passages and spaced repetition.
- Write: cite as you write, and check a draft against your sources.
- Share a folder by link, so anyone can read it and ask it questions.
Konkyo was built for the Open Agent Hackathon 2026, Track 02: The Agent That Can Explain Why.
